Dinning Room and Kitchen

The kitchen is furnished with an old wood stove from around 1900, a heavy iron kettle, pans and sad irons. An old round table displays a crocheted cover, a custard glass lamp, a Bible and albums. The original fireplace with old andirons is found in the kitchen and the pantry features old jars, bowls and other furnishings. A spinning wheel, shoe repairing lasts and tools, a cabinet containing old dishes, kerosene lamps, butter churns and a copper boiler add to the exhibit.

Between the kitchen and the parlor is a case containing a metal figure of a woman’s head, believed to have come from an old sailing ship.
